Your song, which I liked so well in the beginning, now gets stuck in my head whenever I hear it....

If I put a bumper sticker on my car, I put it on glass so I can remove it completely if desired. Never on paint or chrome.

People are intolerant and criticize others for many reasons, I think most commonly to make themselves feel bigger or, to fit in with what they think their groups opinion is.

At the risk of pissing you off, at about 12 minutes into the audio... I think Christianity is one of the most intolerant religions of them all. A person MUST believe what they are told to believe or burn forever. Very in-tolerant.

In Peru, there were beautiful Spanish churches, incredible. In the basement of each one is an elaborate torture chambers for those who would not convert. The Spaniards didn't care if the adult being converted believed, the goal was to force them to bring their kids to the church, so they could convert the kids. Take a baby to church every Sunday and he or she will have the churches beliefs ingrained in their brains from their first memories. And the worst, most horrifying thing, is that these Christians think they are tolerant, but are among the most intolerant people I have ever met. I think the Spaniards truly believed they were doing the Peruvians a favor, torturing them to death. The Spaniards were closed minded and intolerant to the extreme.

An open mind thinks it's closed and a closed mind thinks it's open.

At about 15:45, you hit the nail on the head. 'We tolerate those who believe as we do, everyone else can go fuck themselves'. That is not tolerance.

I believe humans have a hard wired connection with God, that can be cultivated through spirituality. I believe most organized religions are extremely poor sources of spirituality.

Religions don't want you to know God, they want you to believe they are the source of God.
I think that's what you said near the end, as well.
I think most organized religions are like political organizations. They want your money and to control you.

I was definitely driving! Thanks for listening to the entire thing.

Why do men and women have different shoe sizes? I never thought of that! Also bullshit!

What do you mean sizing is not universal? Shoe sizing in the US? I didn't mean universal from one country to another, just from one store to another. So I wear size 10 shoes everywhere, but I don't wear size 6 pants everywhere because women's clothing is bullshit.

Now that you're such a big fan of my podcast, you should rate and review it on iTunes. :) :)

I know you're recording this while you are taking a shower. You don't have to pretend you're driving in the rain. And, since you ARE in the shower, your tag should be "no clothes" instead of clothes.

Why do men and women have different shoe sizes?
Why does the USA have different sizes than the rest of the world?
My experience is that the world runs on one system, except the USA, which runs on it's own, I think the sizing problem is in the USA, contrary to what you say, the sizing is not universal.
On the shoes, you see the US size, like "10" after that, you'll see the European size, like "40-42" The European size is universal, (I think it's based on the metric system)

I just go buy 34x34 pants and size "L" shirts. I don't even have to try them on.

Did you know that the world runs on a universal street sign system, except the USA, which has it's own?

I didn't think I'd listen to this entire podcast, but I did in the end.

I want to formally again request a video podcast, just put your phone camera on the dash.... I mean, the shower shelf.

LOL!!! Some people are suchen ASSHOLES!!! Omg your news years fight story reminds of how one time I tried to ditch my then boyfriend by telling him to get out of the rental car (we were in another country... sort of in the middle of nowhere) and that I would enjoy myself at the beach for the day without him. He was being a pouty bitch!! Were you pouting? Ugh but seriously relationships... they will be the source of the most hurtful things we experience in life. ... especially if you meet guys off the internet(did that once and learned the hard way).

I don't think I knew that you had a podcast... oh wait, that's how I found you, your Raymi interview. Anyway, you're awesome. Thanks for you know, makin' stuff.

Ha, ha. Don't worry about it. I haven't listened to it because I'm a shitty podcaster so if you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have even known. I don't remember thinking you were rude or anything.

Also, you were the star of the show! I wanted you to speak freely!

Thank you! That means a lot, and makes me question my point about OkCupid since you found me via OkCupid.

I have a few more episodes I haven't uploaded yet. I think I might uncover the answers to your questions on those. I do want listeners--casual and loyal alike. I just don't want to feel like I'm podcasting a certain way FOR them. I am podcasting for others, of course, because that's the whole reason I put it online. But I want to do what I want to do and attract people (like you!) who like it, not do what I THINK the largest number of audience members want to do.

Much less about the audience and more about my tangled brain, but I think I worked through a lot of it this week.

Real question: if you don't want to care what people think and if you don't want people to casually drop and listen, how are you supposed to tell if it's any good? Calling it great would imply that it's compared to something. What is it greater than or worse than? Personally I've listened to every one of the Pcasts front to back. I guess I'm one of the 30 you want around...lol

I think we both came to the conclusion that no single body type should be promoted. That there shouldn't be any sort of "universal" beauty standard--whether that's stick thin, "curvy," or "real," as they're saying now.

Look at runway models. Those are the skinniest. But even a lot of print models are clearly underweight--look at the photo spread of a fashion magazine, or even most bill boards and magazine ads.

Do you think the whole debate as to "which body types should be promoted?" goes back to just a need to feel validated? Like when Erin was saying she'll never look like Christina Hendricks. I think you were right early on in your convo when you were both trying to figure out why that's something you even care about so much.

I'm wondering where all these freaky thin models are that you were referring to. All the guys talk about are women with curves like Kim Kardashian and swimsuit models like Kate Upton.

My ex actually used to tell me that it bothered her that I didn't find models attractive because she felt like she couldn't trust me around anyone...lol

That goes along with my belief that black men are much more honest in dating! The only ones that lie are ones w/ girlfriends or kids and the only lies they tell are "I don't have a girlfriend" or "I don't have kids." Ha.

Hm...a revenge-cast. I don't know if I have any good revenge stories, but I bet Erin does.

Sorry to point out the "like" problem. I have just recently gotten into the habit of noticing when I say it. I guess I can notice and pause instead of notice and say UUUGGGGGHHHHHH I SUCK.

The lying about looks and opinions reminded me of something my mom said: white people tell someone they look nice no matter what, but black people tell you their honest opinion or they just shut up about it. It made me start paying attention and it was true!

I think it'd be cool if you two did a "revenge" P-cast or talk about how you deal with people that fuck with you.

Please stop pointing out the like thing! Haha! No one notices until you keep pointing it out. Try talking slower or something.

Try not to shit on Lean Cuisine too much. You're killing my business. Go after smartones please.

What? I'm just being honest.

PS: stitcher feed is down and I'm way too lazy to download it from iTunes. Thanks. You're making my work day less shitty.
