People are intolerant and criticize others for many reasons, I think most commonly to make themselves feel bigger or, to fit in with what they think their groups opinion is.

At the risk of pissing you off, at about 12 minutes into the audio… I think Christianity is one of the most intolerant religions of them all. A person MUST believe what they are told to believe or burn forever. Very in-tolerant.

In Peru, there were beautiful Spanish churches, incredible. In the basement of each one is an elaborate torture chambers for those who would not convert. The Spaniards didn’t care if the adult being converted believed, the goal was to force them to bring their kids to the church, so they could convert the kids. Take a baby to church every Sunday and he or she will have the churches beliefs ingrained in their brains from their first memories. And the worst, most horrifying thing, is that these Christians think they are tolerant, but are among the most intolerant people I have ever met. I think the Spaniards truly believed they were doing the Peruvians a favor, torturing them to death. The Spaniards were closed minded and intolerant to the extreme.

An open mind thinks it’s closed and a closed mind thinks it’s open.

At about 15:45, you hit the nail on the head. ‘We tolerate those who believe as we do, everyone else can go fuck themselves’. That is not tolerance.

I believe humans have a hard wired connection with God, that can be cultivated through spirituality. I believe most organized religions are extremely poor sources of spirituality.

Religions don’t want you to know God, they want you to believe they are the source of God.
I think that’s what you said near the end, as well.
I think most organized religions are like political organizations. They want your money and to control you.

Why do men and women have different shoe sizes? I never thought of that! Also bullshit!

What do you mean sizing is not universal? Shoe sizing in the US? I didn’t mean universal from one country to another, just from one store to another. So I wear size 10 shoes everywhere, but I don’t wear size 6 pants everywhere because women’s clothing is bullshit.

My experience is that the world runs on one system, except the USA, which runs on it’s own, I think the sizing problem is in the USA, contrary to what you say, the sizing is not universal.
On the shoes, you see the US size, like “10″ after that, you’ll see the European size, like “40-42″ The European size is universal, (I think it’s based on the metric system)

I just go buy 34×34 pants and size “L” shirts. I don’t even have to try them on.

I have a few more episodes I haven’t uploaded yet. I think I might uncover the answers to your questions on those. I do want listeners–casual and loyal alike. I just don’t want to feel like I’m podcasting a certain way FOR them. I am podcasting for others, of course, because that’s the whole reason I put it online. But I want to do what I want to do and attract people (like you!) who like it, not do what I THINK the largest number of audience members want to do.

Look at runway models. Those are the skinniest. But even a lot of print models are clearly underweight–look at the photo spread of a fashion magazine, or even most bill boards and magazine ads.

I’m wondering where all these freaky thin models are that you were referring to. All the guys talk about are women with curves like Kim Kardashian and swimsuit models like Kate Upton.

My ex actually used to tell me that it bothered her that I didn’t find models attractive because she felt like she couldn’t trust me around anyone…lol
